On May 18th, a delegation from Guangzhou municipality, including representatives from GPHL, headed to Auckland for the Tripartite Economic Alliance Summit 2019. GPHL’s chairman Li Chuyuan delivered a keynote speech on the theme of TCM and health at the summit.
Li Chuyuan said traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine while different, are not contradictory, and that each can supplement the other。 In his opinion the healthcare industry should devote equal attention to both TCM and western medicine。
Li explained that TCM with its idea of medicine and food as inseparable is vital for the preventive treatment of diseases, and that this can be China’s great contribution to world health. Li hopes enterprises from the Tripartite Economic Alliance can work together to contribute more to the global health industry.
2019 marks the 47th anniversary of the establishment of China-New Zealand relations and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Guangzhou-Auckland sister cities relations. The Tripartite Economic Alliance Summit 2019, held on May 19th and 20th, celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Tripartite Economic Alliance, first signed by Guangzhou, Los Angeles and Auckland in 2014.
